Greetings all,
For those of you who've emerged from the chaotic past few weeks, trust me you weren’t alone. Even here, we were affected by the Mars-Saturn combination which left me grappling with the sudden disappearance of the baby's nanny, viral fever and complete chaos in the home front. And thanks to all those who understood my rescheduling of appointments and settled for telephonic readings while the baby napped.
Well now that all's in order for the time being. I'm back in your mailbox with a little learning I thought I'd share with you. It's culled from the card "The High Priestess", the mysterious, magical woman of the deck who's message is basically 'Trust your Gut" If you feel something isn’t right, it isn’t. If you feel someone can be trusted, they can. If you feel something fishy is going on at the workplace, it is. If you feel you're being lied to, you are. And 99% of the times, your gut is always correct. Except for the fact that we brush off that little niggling feeling in the pit of our stomach as imagination, and then much later we discover that we should have trusted our gut feel in the first place.
How do you know when it's a gut feel or just paranoia? I've been asked this countless times and believe me there is no right or wrong answer. Sometimes, it's a funny, squirmy type of feeling in the base of the stomach, sometimes it's a tingly sensation all over the body, and sometimes, it's literally a thought that just whispers in our head. Here's an example. Recently I did a reading for a woman who like me, suffered a theft in her home and was feeling upset. We spoke about how she felt betrayed and stabbed in the back, and when we turned to the cards, she wanted to know who the thief was. Since the Tarot cannot give names, and can sometimes only point at descriptions eg young male, dynamic etc, I asked her if she had a gut feel about who it might be. Hesitatingly she nodded, not sure if it was correct to name someone she suspected, but felt it was just imagination or paranoia. We asked if it was this person in question and guess which card appeared ? The card of Thieves, Conmen and Liars. She got her answer, and she'd been right from the moment she hired him and felt that he was just "too good to be real'
So if you've got a gut feel about something, why not just go with it. Or if you wish, you could always validate it with the Tarot.
Looking forward to hearing from you as always. And Happy Diwali in advance!
Warm wishes
Mita Bhan
