Do you believe in Love Across Lifetimes?
I know I do. And little did I realise just what I would experience few
months ago when a rather tired and worried looking Executive came to me for
a reading. Her energies looked worn, her voice bore undertones of many
unshed tears. Her questions had to do with a young man she had met 3 years
ago whom she was deeply in love with. As she sat before me while I
meditated
in her presence, I silently recited the special love reading prayer for
her.
And together we looked at her cards which spoke of destiny, soulmates,
opposition from parents, tears and anguish, but finally, union on the day
she specified. 30th April 2006. As she left, she tousled up the hair of 14
month old Prithvi (a perpetual reading gatecrasher as some of you might
have
noticed) and I noticed her eyes for the first time ' a deep yearning for
Love" was what they said.
Weeks went by, she stayed in touch with the occasional SMS, a few teary
calls as the war with her parents began to rage, and there were moments
when
she felt the April 30th deadline would not happen. There were dire
predictions, tears and screams. The stress was palpable for all of us.
The night before her wedding, she trudged up the stairs with her fiance to
my office. Tensions were brewing. She had slipped out of her parents home
to be with her soul mate. And now there were pleas for her to return. Her fiance, a gentle soul from the South, looked worried. And was patiently trying to deal with his runaway bride's guilt, the heat and dust of Delhi traffic and looked at the cards with hope. His
main question "Would the marriage take place tomorrow?"
For someone who normally who flips the card quickly I paused to catch my
breath, over the spread on the table. Time literally stood still. And I
couldnt intuit the messages instantly. After what seemed like eternity,
they
smiled and said "Yes"
The rest of the reading looked at reassuring solutions regarding a new
chapter in their lives, the long term impact on her family and their
health,
and how they could make their marriage work.
But when they left, I felt there was more, and turned to meditation. The
message which came was this "There would be minor hurdles ahead of these
two
soulmates, but they would eventually be united . Hope and faith are their
biggest strengths. Love will find a way."
And it did.
On the 30th of April 2006, they tied the knot. And today, I received a call
from
a lilting, young voice that was so full of love, telling me they were happy
together in Chennai.
Thank you for sharing my tears of joy.
And Thank you, you two souls for giving me permission to write about your
story of hope, courage and love.
Until next time,
Mita
